If your daughter has tangles....

Hey guys,
I just wanted to write to you about a product that has changed our morning routine. This brush makes detangling hair painless for both mother and child. I wish I had know about it years ago. My seven year old daughter used to hate when I brushed her hair, but now it is a pleasure. I purchased this brush from the salon where my kids get their hair cut. It was under twenty dollars. I know some people may think that it is a lot, but it really does what it says. The bristles are all different levels so it does not stress the hair or cause any pain to the child when you are brusing out knotts.  I highly recommed this brush. It does not dissapoint.

The perfect pencil skirt

#
I was recenty shopping at ANN TAYLOR, and found this awesome black pencil skirt.  It does everthing a pencil skirt should do without being tight.  Usuaually,  I have to go up a size or two so the skirt is not tight.  However, this skirt is totally true to size.  It is so exciting to finally find a great pencil skirt!
p.s.  Don't let the picture fool you.  I am 5'2, and the skirt covers my knees.

3 days of fashion

Oh my goodness!  The next four weeks are a marathon of eating, fasting and eating more, not to mention getting dressed up, getting my kids dressed up, and did I mention three day yom tov?!?

I want to talk about dressing your kids (and you) for a 3 day yom tov.  Here are some Tori's tips  in no particular order:

Tori's tip 1:  Check the weather, especially if you are going away!  Remember, last year was a month earlier and the summery outfit that worked last year will cause hypothermia this year.  Also, it might be mild in Silver Spring, MD, but downright chilly at your in-laws in Monsey, NY.  And unless you are going to Israel make sure to have raingear.

Tori's tip 2:  Invest in a nice robe for you and your girls.  It helps preserve the "shul" clothes and is much more comfortable for outdoor eating.

Tori's tip 3:  If you've exhausted your budget on your kids' clothes, at least get yourself an accessory or two to freshen up and old outfit.  The right piece can make a brand new look without breaking the bank.

Tori's tip 4:  3 days is a long time for kids.  Make sure to have a stock of games and books for your kids.  A trip to the library and Target are a good idea.  My kids love Life, Headbandz and Apples to Apples.  Farkle is fun (check with your Rabbi about keeping score) and for older kids Bananagrams is great.

In my next post I will show some ideas for outfits.
